Dance in the theme park

I remember when I was a kid, such theme park would really drive me crazy happy. Since unknown years ago, it disappeared. Perhaps, when we started to strive for good result in the studies, had never seen it again. My heart can't see it, even it brushed thru my eyes.

Perhaps it was not popular anymore, nowadays which kid still admire this kind of theme park? Getting low profit and getting down with the facilities and creativity further worsen the condition to stay in business. Yea, nowadays kids need an Apple, that's more than enough.

For teen and adults, they would be rather happy in the club with a bottle of red wine or happy in the cafe with a bunch of bullets and wars. And for the old age, perhaps will still bring their grandchildren, which not yet have an apple tech, go for a walk and dance in the theme park.

It's okay for me, to dance in any where, and the most important wish in future is stated in below picture...

Chicken and Mushrooms Steamboat

It's the best having a steamboat dinner with friends and family, during the raining evening
there are many kind of steamboat, but I just simply love steamboat with all fresh ingredient
here are one of my steamboat recipe, simple, fresh and healthy, adopted from korean cuisine xD

Stock:
  • chicken bone/anchovies
  • garlic
  • onion
  • fish sauce
  • salt
  • pepper powder
  • water

Main ingredient:
  • boneless chicken tight, cut into slices
  • marinate with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, chopped green onion, ginger juice, cinnamon powder, honey

Vegetables:

it's quite random, you can just put whatever veggie during the current season, but make sure it get along with each other veggie = P
  • assorted mushroom *use the fresh one*
  • round cabbage/chinese cabbage, cut into tiny slices
  • raddish/carrot, cut into strip
  • pumpkin, cut into tiny piece, so that easily cooked
  • green onion, cut into 2 inch length

This way:
  1. Prepare the stock, boil for at least 1 hour. Set aside the stock
  2. Marinate the chicken about 2 hours or more
  3. Prepare and cut the mushroom/vegetables
  4. Arrange all the ingredients nicely into the pot
  5. Add stock and boil until all the ingredients are cooked
  6. Ready to serve
Tips:
  • after getting rid of the bone from the chicken tight, don't throw, it can be used for the stock
  • you can add more seasoning in marinating the chicken, as it will be cooked with the stock thus the taste might be neutralized. If so, keep you stock less salty then, don't over season the stock, keep the saltiness balance
  • serve fried pancake (pa jeon, haemul jeon, kamja jeon etc) as side dish

11.11.11

11th November 2011, in full numeric form, 11.11.11, so many people claims that it is a special day, because it is only once in a life, yea right, I guess 900 years ago, people might super crazy happy because they have had a 1111.11.11, really a full 11111...xn

..and um.. yea indeed a special day for me because I was sick on that day and decided take MC, anyway I got plenty of MC left, it won't be ridiculous if I take one since I have not been taking any for at least pass 7 months

however, even I'm sick, but I don't feel like staying at home, lazy to due with my dad with his OMG-you-are-sick-are-you-okay-face. So I pretended I went for work, but actually I fully used my time for some other personal business, like going to bank to updates bank books, withdraw money to pay ptptn load.

and also to shopping at the Zara warehouse sales, it was start at 11am, and i reach that place on 10.45am, thought that the queue won't be long, but the damn queue turned out to be damn long until to the parking area...well I'm not an idiot, in this kind of situation I rather go for a drinks and I fled away to YMCA, to return kee ming's spec and placed myself in mid valley for a movie
11.11.11.11.39

I was planning to watch you are an apple to my eyes, anyway 1pm show was sold out, 3.30pm show also sold out...I was wandering now is not a school holiday nor public holiday why the mall is full with people and the ticket has gone empty so fast? even for parking I have spent 30 mins to get a illegal parking lot wth

Immortals 11 11 11

anyhow, I picked a movie randomly, in order to fully utilize my student card lol I don't understand the ticket stated RM8, but the counter only charged me RM7...untung lah XD over all the move not bad...
after the movie, hang around in MPH, looking for a book about gaga fashion, but I couldn't find it, I found another book abt her instead the rise and rise of lady gaga: poker face ...

after back from MV, I passed by Zara sales, and I just simply see how the queue was like, surprisingly the long queue disappeared lol and I grabbed one long pants, anyway nothing much for guys outfit, not to say disappointed because I already expected that will be the scenario

Zara pants 50% off
planned random stuff for this 11.11.11 special day, don't worry if you missed out doing something special because there is one more chance to do so, next year 2012.12.12, pretty funny isn't it? XD

Dr. Lo Case #05

看到的顏色,不是顏色;
聽到的聲音,不是聲音;
嗅到的香味,不是香味;

Canon 21

The time that you've missed,
is not draining back with ease.
Catch' em! So catch' em please!
Catch' em before its release.

Death gives us clearer perspective,
as the play makes us in stitch.
Wander what it could preach,
but only the time does teach.

One day the mortal may decay,
thus we need no fussy care.
As you wade in to make a pay,
you would find a comfort day.

Who could ever be an immortal?
and who could go sailing forever?
Say! Forever Twenty One!
Although it's lack of companion,
you do not need a complex lunch!

Standing between the line I guess,
holding the time that drag me against,
there's a chance for you and me at once
to say Forever Twenty One!

Forever Twenty One!
Turn to be a gorgeous one!
Sweet as my sangria punch!
That shows what we have earned!

Wake me up when September ends

It's September 30, and end of September,
It's brand new month calls October,
but still I wish to linger with you September.
Like I met someone like you.

The last day of September,
Like I met someone like you.
Came so closely to my face,
and cross my arms.
Look at the lines, drawn perfectly
on the statues on the wall,
it look so fresh and young,
energetic and beautifully made.

Yet sorrow came across,
I just couldn't hold.
Your face is delicious
and your soul is flesh.

Wake me up when September ends,
please, before I forgot to pay.
Wake me up when September ends,
please, before I couldn't pray.

Pasir Penambang & Sekinchan Paddy Field

it was holliday, I realized that I had not been travel to anywhere lately...
went on a trip kee ming's family was fun and enjoyable indeed,
now I have a better understand how he could be so humor and funny, making everyone lam mmm dou yeh (speechless) all the time lol
it is all about genetic & social learning

although traffic was jaming all the way (most of the time, i think?) due to the Raya festival, yea everyone is balik kampung-ing, it wasn't a surprise that will jam especially in kampung road
but then i still stand the bore and  helplessness of the traffic condisition because:
1. I'm not driving LOL
2. the way his dad of nagging and mumbling about the traffic was funny, as well as the things and joke he shared during the trip
3. I got much more time to see, look. watch and observe everything out of the window, where usually I have no opportunity to do all that most of the time, yea, because mostly I'm the drive

first place we reached was the pasir penambang fishing village, seafood is damn nice over there, anyway we were unable to get even a piece of sotong in both of the very-happening-seafoo-restaurant hahaha holiday peak season, was full of people
but we still got some good stuff in other less-customer restaurant

Seafood pancake

Deep fried sotong

gong bou baby shark fish

next place would be the sekinchan paddy field, well most of the paddy has been harvested
can't get a nice shoot for the paddy because all is still short xD
sekinchan paddy field

peaceful, smooth, calm and steady trip
sometimes inner peace is just around the corner of your heart

Homemade Kimchee & Kaktugee

Kimchee, my favarite korean side dish.
Kimchee, a classic korea food.
Kimchee, a very dynamic dish.
Very huge difference usage of ingredients and method varies from different kimchee master
Kimchee, can be the dish that I spend the longest time to master it.

Remember the first time when I made it, I used light soy sauce, and it turned out dark brown kimchee, really like rooten veggie LOL

Anyway it gets better consequently after I have been searching, combinng, experimenting and trying out different recipes available via cook books and from the web.

Have been tried with addtional stuff like asian pear, apple, fresh red chili, cincaro, raw plain sweet rice flour, but now I prefer to go simple by this receipe below!
 Ingredient for kimchee paste:
  • fish sauce (doesn't matter made in korea or thailand)
  • korean pepper powder
  • garlic
  • onion
  • ginger
  • green onion
  • leeks, cut in 1 inch (optional)
  • shredded raddish or carrot (optional, seasoned with salt for 10 mins, squeezed)
  • sweet rice flour
  • sugar & water

This way:
  1. Mix sweet rice flour and sugar with water and simmer with middle heat, until it turned white color, that means it is cooked. Set aside, let it cold.
  2. Meanwhile prepare garlic, onion, ginger, green onion (all minced). If you don't like the fiber texture of ginger, extract and just use its juice.
  3. Add all ingredient above in to a mixed bowl when the paste cold off.
Notes: For kaktugee, you can skip leeks, raddish and carrot

Ingredient for Kimchee & Kaktugee:
  • Chinese white cabbage (avoid choosing greenie leaf, as it taste a little bitter)
  • White raddish
  • Salt

This way:

For Cabbage kimchee

  1. Wash and pluck cabbage leaf from it stem, remain a whole piece of leaf
  2. Sprinkle salt over every single leaf evenly
  3. Set for 2 hours, turn it around in between so that the salt soften the cabbage evenly
  4. After the cabbage is soften (but not too over marinated, it is best to remain a little crunchy), wash with water and squeeze excessive water
  5. Mixed with the kimchee paste that you have ready
  6. Spread the paste evenly on the leaf and roll it piece by piece
  7. Set them in an airtight jar with room temperature for 2 days
  8. In between the fermentation process you can notice bubble in the paste that means it is fermenting (the sweet rice flour and sugar help kick start the fermentation process)
  9. Taste and check if it is sour enough. If not up to your Sourness, let it ferment for longer
  10. If it taste perfect, keep it in fridge, usually can keep for 1 month
 For Kaktugee

  1. Peel off skin
  2. Cut radish in cube size
  3. Sprinkle salt over it
  4. Set for 2 hours, toss it occasionally
  5. Wash with water, to reduce the saltiness
  6. Squeeze excessive water
  7. Mixed with the kimchee paste above
  8. Ferment it as step from above =D

Otak-Otak Spaghetti

Saturday, it always be the the day where I just wanna spend lying on my bed, if there is no any other good plan for weekend.

At some point, I'm really rotten, or I should put in this way: I'm enjoy to be rotten at home, don't feel like going out for meals and so on...

and here is my rotten recipe of Use-What-is-Available-Style spaghetti or simply call it Lazy Style lol

Otak-Otak Spaghetti

For ingredients, just grab whatever you have in the fridge, however for the sake of guidelines, so happen I got this Ingredient:

  • Otak-otak (from Becky, she gave it to me and I store it in fridge, for unknown period of time...)
  • fresh tomatoes cut in wedges
  • garlic, minced
  • onion, sliced
  • dried rosemary
  • black olive, sliced
  • Tesco brand spaghetti sauce
  • tomato sauce or chili sauce (Optional, just to add on to the taste and liquid, in case the whole spaghetti paste is too dry)
  • chili powder (Optional, if you like spicy...)

 This way:
  1. Heat 2 tbs of oil in frying pan
  2. Add onion, garlic and rosemary, stir fry until they get soften.
  3. Add tomatoes, stir fry until the it gets watery.
  4. Add a little salt and pepper ( because you are not fully depend on the ready made spaghetti sauce, so need a little spice up)
  5. Add your lovely otak-otak, stir fry it until it get melts
  6. Add ready made spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce or chili sauce (to taste, it helps to make your paste to be more pasty, and will not become too dry, add a little water if needed)
  7. Add black olive and chili powder, cook for 2 minutes so that all the ingredient blend together)
  8. Alright, when the paste is done, serve hot with your cooked spaghetti!
p/s: All the portion and measuring above is my to taste measurement aka agak-agak measurement, so kindly adjust to your own preference, try and cook on your own risk lol

Italian Sick Part 2 - Veneeze

Sick form the next day we had another farewell lunch *treated by director xD*
we were planning to go for Brussels Beer Cafe, but we had it last farewell lunch with Belle (who has returned...) and Lisa....and we figured out that another newly opened restaurant in Jaya One, so far never been there before, so we gave a try

It was Veneeze, Italian food again but I was kinda excited for Italian food since I'm loving-sick with it xD
Not bad for the grilled button, but it will be more tasty if they use butter to grill this

Minced chicken with button
Carbonara Crabstick
Olive pizza
Sausage pizza

The food pretty fine, not that high-ended, consider normal price, food quality ok-ok also, the pizza is crispy, but I wish the topping can be improved...

Summary:
  • Price: Normal range from RM 8+  to  RM 20+
  • Food: Portion just nice, taste okay-okay. Pizza is crispy type.
  • Venue: Jaya One, Block D

Italian Sick Part 1 - d'italianekitchen

I was like a pregnant guy, out of the blue I'm so eager to get certain food and indulged in it. We *with colleague* had Italian pasta in a high-end restaurant *at least for me* which located in Jaya 33, namely d'italianekitchen.

It was a farewell lunch with Becky and Gurpreet, kinda nice environment and for price wise, we paid what it worth =P though sometimes I'm quite in to cheap, nice, affordable food place, but I don't mind gone high-ended once in a while, moreover, RM 25 for a pasta, once in a while, I can't afford meh??? LOL

Carbonara Bacons
Carbonara with bacon was the first dish served...smell really nice but it wasn't mine, belongs to Justin. I wander if I could take a bite when he was away...

Spaghetti seafood olio
It was Kar Man's order, it looks kinda attractive for me, but I'm not taking seafood lol
...according to her, she wasn't really enjoy the seafood, I guess it was because the way it was cooked, the taste of seafood would be kinda mono, well, seafood was meant to be cooked in that way, if they are fresh enough, otherwise I would say kam heong style for seafood is better...

Smoked duck meat spaghetti with garlic

I like smoked salmon, same for this smoked duck meat, surprisingly it taste like ya-shang from Taiwan, one kind of smoke duck meat, served as snack while having beer or alcohol drinks.
Just did not expect that it taste nice with spaghetti too, wandering if ya-shang came from Italy? or people in Taiwan invented smoked duck meat in the first place?
Anyway, the grilled garlic slice was very blended with the taste of smoked duck and with the spaghetti of course, though I taste a little like having teppanyaki because of the garlic  XD

Summary:
  • Price: RM 20+ and above
  • Food: Good place for Italian food and pasta. You will pay what it worth
  • Location: Jaya 33,  Seksyen 14, Petaling Jaya
