Corn Flakes Toast Bread

An innovative and simple recipe of mine =D

Toast bread with corn flakes and kaya spread

I waked up at 10.30am this morning, kinda late and the stuck between breakfast and lunch, usually I won't skip my breakfast even it was late, still I would like to have a little food to kick start my whole holy sunday...

Feel like having some simple and nutritious meal like milk+corn flakes, all I need to do is just pouring, mixing and eating lol anyway, I just found out my fridge is running out of milk,  it served with kaya spread and bread, instead of milk.

Ingredients:
  • bread
  • corn flakes
  • kaya spread, butter (or any other jam etc depends on ur favor)
This way:
  1. Toast the bread (if you like toast)
  2. Spread the kaya/jam/butter
  3. Place some cornflakes and fold the bread.Enjoy~!
p/s: I really like the texture of toast bread (it is crispy when toast, and chewy inside plus corn flakes, crispy again and with kaya sweetness...holy blended!

Office Affairs

My office theme song: Telephone, lady gaga
Said: Could they stop calling me? I'm kinda busy with my screen!

2010 Calender, I'm still keeping it in the drawer, just because the food is so artistically taken.
Said: Cheers, food sensation

Slogan on the emergency door at office
Said: Stop smoking, I'm lazy to advise, or please just smoke less

Poor Little teddy bear, abandoned by Belle
Said: It was abandoned and left behind, it's okay to cry, because you can tell me why...

Little tea break 3.15pm
Said: I wander if I could have a relaxing tea time like this, at least 3 times a week, staring from now...

Falling story
Said: I feel the tremor in the office last week, I feel the tremor when a lorry passed by thou, so scare anything could just fall like that...

Kee KaHiong Pan Mee

Pan mee is one of my favorite meal all times, suitable for breakfast if I'm bored with bread or ham; suitable for lunch if I already had a heavy breakfast and don't feel like having mixed rice; suitable for dinner if I'm afraid of oily food for dinner.

The most deep impression of Pan Mee during my childhood was a pan mee stall that is in the middle of kepong market, and all the while pan mee is something u could not find in restaurant lol but nowadays it seems like upgraded and moves into restaurant, I can find many restaurant specialized in selling pan mee, in almost everywhere (but NOT all of them tasty, some are awful, really awful...)

Here are one that I found nice n it is near my place: Kee KaHiong 記家鄉板面

The price for the food is reasonable pan mee is rm5.80 =D

the stock is good, and the texture of the mee is chewy
Shrimp chilli & Dried galic chilli

and they do serve these 2 kind of chili which i find it delicious xD of course they serve other food like pumpkin pork rib porridge, i guess it will be another good stuff of their restaurant.

Canon 20

Ariadne at water house

This year, summer arrived earlier,
With heat and haze, over all the place.
It came earlier to celebrate,
before you change your breakfast bread.

This month, summer has started,
It’s so hot yet it rains she said.
This time, the thunder starts to strike,
Strikes me through the sky so bright.

This year, summer arrived earlier,
With love and betrayal, around the circle.
It came earlier to honor me,
oh sing an oath to me baby.

Inner riot, spiritual twisted road,
I heard you said the breaking codes.
Oh summer is warm and hot,
let’s swarm to the river I’m crazy hot,
sing and swear me a bloody oath.

Pouring me into the dead river,
Drowning with your swill of betrayal.
T
his time, summer couldn’t be ended,
Thrived in your bitter and love tipple.

My memory keeps spinning, reminiscence.
My tear keeps spinning, rolling and freezing,
in the rainy eyes of your lover lies,
you said to stay forever until we die.

This album is For YOU, BORN THIS WAY!

Finally, I'm gonna marry the night, I brought Born This Way album lol This is kinda weird for me, thinking back a couple years ago I really didn't buy any album...the most recent album I brought before this awesome Born This Way was:

《寓言》 by Faye Wong ,2000.

《Flying》 and  《Kelly Chan Dance BPM Dance Collection》 by Kelly Chan, 2001.

So...for 10 years I never buy any album and if being more discriminative, I never buy a English album from don't know how many years ago, I just remember the last one was in cassette tape and it was The Cranberries cassette which I'm not sure it is still exist in which corner of my house  lol

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

My favorite tracks from Born This Way album:
  • Born this way
  • Judas
  • Americano
  • Heavy Metal Lover
  • Bloody Mary
  • You and I
  • Electric Chapel
  • Scheiße
  • Hair
  • The edge of glory
  • Government Hooker

Waa...I love almost all of the tracks, this album perhaps can last me few years, not to mention these days I still love to listen to her songs from The Fame such as poker face, love game, paparazzi etc what's more to say about her new album? #We were BORN THIS WAY#

De Pastry Chef Cake & Cafe

Last month my cousin celebrated 2 year-old birthday. The party took place in this lovely cafe in Menjalara, Kepong. It is near my place, prices are affordable and the food is awesome.

They serve high-tea buffet from 12noon to 3pm, the price is around RM 15 - RM17 per head with various of pasta, local specialty like curry, fried mee hun etc but the awesome one I shall highlight is the carbonara spaghetti and CAKES, well, all the cakes and dessert over there is simply awesome, the most famous one is the cheese tart~ ❤

But I guess the main reason we went for this cafe was due to its dessert, the rest of the food was not out main course that day~ lol

Other than cakes and dessert, they still have other nice food...I'm getting a bit too sleepy and tired waiting all these picture to be uploaded, the file is big thou, anyway here is the quick view:
  • Location: Bandar Sri Menajalra,Kepong. Near the city hall that area (Google it!)
  • Style: Pastries, Pasta, Cakes & Dessert
  • Recommended: Carbonara spaghetti, Cheese tarts, cakes & desserts
  • Price: RM 15 - RM17 per head for high tea buffet
  • Other: If you don't feel like having buffet, it has another unit shop which serves a la carte food, it is just next door between them

La Zurich Swiss Western Cuisine Restaurant

Last few weeks when I passed by Menjalara, I saw an eye catching new restaurant, apparently it is a Swiss Western cuisine restaurant, well my dad was once worked in a Swiss hotel, and he is experienced in Swiss cuisine and all the old school table manner on the western table. So I guess must pay a visit to this restaurant with dad and try new things out *blink* ...and also to check it out whether it is original Swiss cuisine or it is just a marketing approach

Tonight we paid a visit and had dinner there, environment is fine, menu is kinda ordinary western food = = steak, fish & chips, lamb blah blah and pasta etc not really special as expected. But price is not cheap for beef and lamb (appoximately RM 30-RM50).  Food that was ordered:

Grilled Chicken with Rosemary Sauce (RM 15.80) *Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs*
Hmm..what can I say, the taste was not what I expected. I really have to say the way I cook rosemary chicken is nicer lol. Well, I used to marinate the chicken with rosemary and other ingredients before I grilled it, and when you grill the chicken with rosemary, it is awesome! The rosemary favor will be so matching with the chicken, however they didn't really marinate the chicken with it, the rosemary was just like "garnish" on top of the grilled chicken with some dark brown sauce = =

Grilled Chicken with Mixed Herbs (RM 14.80)
The way they grilled same as mentioned above, but one value-added point is they use fresh mixed herbs for this and they herbs will not go too strong, just mild and just nice.

Fish & Chip (RM 15.80)
......I don't really like the fish was deep fried in that way, like shattered into few pieces lol Another weird point is, it was served with spinach...it is seldom to see green veggie with fish and chips and it is spinach, out of sudden I think of the Korean side dish sigeumchi namul lol....Presentation not good in that way, anyway the presentation of 3 main course also wasn't up to what I expected.

Maybe what we ordered was not their specialty, the waitress recommended Grilled Chicken with Brandy, said it is their special, but none of us seems interested lol

Cherry Jubilee
Lastly, the dessert was served, it is a promotion where you spend over Rm50 , dessert will be serve f.o.c. It was a Cherry Jubilee, my dad mentioned the name before the waitress did. He said this was his most familiar dessert that he made during his time in hotel, and everyday not sure how much he made and serve this dish to the customer lol die also couldn't forget how to cook this lol well I'm really looking forward him to teach me how to make this fantastic dessert!

According to the waitress, red wine was used in the recipe, but according to my dad's old school recipe, not only red wine was used, it is more than red wine, as brandy and some other specific food name which I don't read them lol  Just wait, one day I'll try this recipe out. Muahaha~!!!  Perhaps, the most satisfying dish tonight, is the Cherry Jubilee. Cherry cherry Boom Boom~!

p/s: where is my significant Swiss cuisine Rosti and cheese steamboat??
