Pan-fried Fish Fillet

I adopt this recipe from Korean cuisine, it is served as part of side dishes in Korean meal, but I think it has the potential to be a main dish. Thus, I modify it a bit, it became Western-Korean style, awesome!

Ingredients:

• fish fillet  (I use frozen dory fish, where available in most of the supermarket^^)
• fresh minced basil  (If you wanna go Korean, use spring onion instead =D)
• minced garlic
• salt & pepper
• ginger juice
• plain flour
• eggs
• cooking oil

Deeping sauce:

• 4 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp vinegar or you can use lime/lemon instead
• 2 tsp chili powder / chili oil

This way:

1. Cut the fish into bite size....or any size you prefer =P
2. Marinate the fish with salt, pepper, ginger juice, galic & basil for about 30 minutes to 1 hour in the fridge
3. Beat eggs and mix well with flour
4. Coat the fish with flour and dip into the beaten egg
5. Heat oil with medium heat and fry until it turns golden brown
6. Serve with deeping sauce

Soy Sauce Seasoned Spinach

It is one of the Korean common side dishes, they call it sigeumchi namul and there are few different way of preparing it. This is served with soy sauce, which i think less likely you could find in Malaysia Korean restaurant. So I decided to share this recipe~ =D

Ingredients A:

• minced garlic
• soy sauce
• sugar
• sesame oil
• salt
• white pepper powder
• vinegar (optional)

Ingredients B:

• Spinach
• roasted sesame seeds

This way:

1. Combine Ingredients A in bowl, mix well, set aside.
2. Add spinach in boilling water, you can add the stem first and then the leaf separately. This will ensure both get cooked evenly =D or alternatively you can steam it instead of boiling.
3. Boil until it turn bright green, get them out and rinse in cold water.
4. Drain and squeeze out the water of it, the drier the better taste it is.
5. If you find the leaf is kinda large, give them a few cut, make it a bite size.
6. Mix well with the Ingredients A and make sure it is mixed well evenly.
7. Sprinkle sesame seeds and ready to serve~

Some tonic and berries mixed with a gin,
Such a romantic legend I’ve never seen,
I’m not really sure what you mean,
Is this my fault so-called sin?

I can remember what you said,
But I’m the only one who made myself sad,

I’m worry about kimchee, chocs and the milk,
If milk without chocs, it melts,
If kimchee alone, it’s too dull,
If put them all together, it forms a chaos,
I wonder how should chocs to be mixed?

Too pure and soft the milk is,
Perhaps need a chocs to mix with,
So that it seems alright as an angel’s kiss,
But how about kimchee’s grateful taste?

Since it’s already a chaos, I shall leave,
For the gloomy party, for the goodness sake,
Outside the window but in an empty room,
Why the air is so fresh and why should I care?

Canon 10

Oh, my lovely one,
It has been a long time,

as the summer disappeared,

I’m losing my gift too,
in the maze i used to,
and whom will I bother? There is no border.

Time kills but time heals too,
but time kills faster than it heals,
perhaps, there is only time
and time alone can tell.

Please look at the starry night,
There is no cloud in the sky,
Whenever you are on my side,
The stars will shining bright.

Please listen to the sea,
There is someone tearing can you see?
Whenever you fall in sleep,
I’m thinking it is time to skip.

Please come and join the play,
It is always a lonely way,
Whenever you come and join,
It brings me fun and joy.

Thousand of romance that you have,
Thousand of regret I would bear,
Too little it’s not enough,
Too much it’ll over flow,
Thus, what else I can do?

Indeed, too high the mountain,
We need to climb.
Indeed, too long the journey,
We have to go.

Too young to decide,
Too fast it comes,
But with you here,
I have no more fear.

Canon 8

Arm in arm, hand in hand,
May the peace bless my land.
Sing and dance, drink and drunk,
How joyful playing with the drum?

Come in and have a sit,
Some great wine have a sip,
I wonder if you are lonely?
Or have you changed completely?

Human used to come and go,
But some just like to stay at home,
Noble or humble I do not know,
You have ego I know, please keep it low.

If you don’t know then must be taught,
Don’t take everything for granted as you wished,
Our knowledge is not that rich,
Thus things need time to be finished.
So, how far have you reached?

Fly as a bird in the sky,
Live freely and truly without spy,
Let your soul be free from hourglass,
But please do not always skip your class.

What is the nicest thing in the world?
What is the priceless thing to my world?
It is not something that is pleased,
It is just merely your friendly seed.
